XBIZ Awards Nominates LiveCamNetwork for 2008

MONTREAL — LiveCamNetwork.com has earned another nomination for Live Video Chat of the Year from the Xbiz Awards. This is the second Xbiz Awards nomination for the site and founder Mark Prince is hoping the second time will be lucky.

"LiveCamNetwork won two Best Adult Awards for Webcams Site, the second time last year at the 2007 BAA ceremony," said Prince. "That could prick up some ears and make all the difference this year."

Prince's 2much.net, which created the platform for LiveCamNetwork and a host of other sites, has also been nominated for the XBiz Software Company of the Year award.

“What marks the LCN difference is the advanced video and audio technology and the way the chat hostesses use it to its best advantage,” Prince said.

Fans of the LCN performers point out the sense of community found there as well as the attentive interaction with members in the free chat area.

The LiveCamNetwork software broadcasts video at 30 frames per second and features tv-like image quality and smoothness, in a large widescreen display which allows even chat hostesses from home to use consumer grade camcorders to log in to the site.

“Plus, the basic sound is also great, and capable of supporting Dolby Surround Sound,” said Prince.

"In addition, Chatvibe, the video chat encoder models use, shows live information about customers including popularity, account balances, purchase frequency and other analytics to help increase conversions, and improve customer retention."

While winning would be a bonus in the company president's eyes, he doesn't let the prospect overly excite him. "LiveCamNetwork's been around 8 years and is doing great."

He does however hope for the software company award. "A win would go a long way toward legitimizing us and more importantly the increasing potential for interactive video chat in the eyes of the industry."

“All in all it’s looking like a potentially big year for 2much and our software,” said Prince. "I hope to be up on that podium accepting twice, ultimately."
